SUMMARY
Kidney transplantation (Tx) is the treatment method that most medically replaces the function of an organ in irreversible failure. In transplant surgery, there is often a need to lengthen the vascular stem, because the insufficiently long vessel cannot be sewn well. Early complications arise several hours to days after transplantation and are closely related to surgery and the immune response of the body to foreign tissue. Late vascular complications arise with time delay from transplantation and are due to progression of atherosclerosis of the aortoiliac area, infection and technical errors.
Key words: kidney transplantation, vascular graft, vascular complication.
