SUMMARY
The SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, has now spread to most countries, with no exception of Slovakia. Due to its rapid spread, we as healthcare professionals will increasingly encounter patients who will be suspected or positive of infections and will also need surgical treatment of injuries. Injuries occur every day and usually are not planed, and currently, we are already facing the first experience with surgical treatment of such patients in our institution. This article focuses on our experience in the optimal management of trauma patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 positivity.
