Abstract
Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is the most common type of orthostatic intolerance in young people characterised by tachycardia in standing position with the absence of decrease of blood presure. Etiology and mechanisms of POTS are multifactorial and this syndrome is clasified into three main subgroups – hyperadrenergic, neuropatic and hypovolemic which can occur alone or simultaneous in different variations. For its complexity POTS belows under the point of intrest of cardiologist and neurologist. POTS is often associated with long-COVID syndrome witch prevalence is alarming. The terapeutical possibilities are nowaday limited trough lack of evidence and guidelines in which the most valid ones are physical exercise and other nonpharmaceutical measures (Tab. 1, Fig. 1, Ref. 44).
