Abstract
OBJECTIVES. Over the last few years, dental erosion has come to the fore and is beginning to become a sphere of greater interest for dentists, in addition to tooth decay and other teeth wear. This is mainly due to the fact that weakened dental hard tissue by erosion is more prone to further damage, either by tooth decay or subsequent mechanical wear.
METHOTOLOGY. The authors compiled the available professional literature in order to evaluate the experience of the world‘s leading workplaces with the issue of dental erosion. They reached to the conclusions on recommendations for clinical dental practice.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION. Dental wear due to erosion is not just a local problem for a given tooth or group of teeth. It affects the overall condition of the chewing system, and thus the comfort of the patient. Therefore, it is important to know in time the symptoms of dental erosion, its risk factors, clinical symptoms, diagnosis, therapy, prevention and overall management, which is also the content and aim of this review article (Tab. 5, Fig. 2, Ref. 43).
