SUMMARY
Vascular complications rank among the most serious surgical complications after kidney transplantation. They impair the function of the transplanted kidney and may lead to graft loss, in some cases even endangering the patient‘s life. Early complications arise several hours to days after transplantation. Late vascular complications excel with the delay of transplantation and their development is due to the progression of atherosclerosis of the aortoiliac region, infection, technical errors in the construction of anastomoses, biopsy diagnostic interventions and rejection episodes.

Key words: kidney transplantation, acute limb ischemia, complication, rejection.
