SUMMARY
New trials are published on a daily basis following impact of COVID-19 on the health of the individuals, scientific works are focused on the epidemics, patophysiology, clinical features and treatment of COVID-19. There is a big question about long-term impact after recovering from this condition. COVID-19 seems to be connected with worse prognosis and higher mortality within patients with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases. On the other hand COVID-19 itselfs might induce myocardial injury , arrhytmias, acute coronary syndrome and venous thromboembolism. Not negligible are concerns about possible interactions between COVID-19 treatment and cardiovascular medications. We summarize and refer available information about pathophysiology, epidemiology, clinical features and possible treatment focusing on cardiovascular system.

Key words: COVID-19, cardiovascular system, SARS-CoV-2.
