SUMMARY
A critical point in the treatment of pathological conditions of the wrist is sometimes insufficient correlation of clinical findings and objective findings, as well as unpredictability in the issue of progression of the condition. This phenomenon is also due to the large number of anatomical structures that affect the biomechanics of the wrist.
The intrinsic muscles of the hand are known mainly by influencing the function of the fingers. So far, their influence on the function or stability of the wrist has been dealt with minimally, although anatomically the group of thenar and hypothenar muscles is predestined for the given relationship.
Key words: intrinsic muscles of the hand, thenar muscles, hypothenar muscles, instability, electrostimulation.
